When a tree is removed a stump remains, spoiling the look of a garden, causing a trip hazard, and potentially encouraging the growth of fungi: which can then progress into surrounding trees and shrubs.
Gillespie Tree Care can offer a number of different stump removal options:
Manual Removal Small or decayed stumps can often be dug out manually or with the use of a winch. This is the cheapest method for light duty stumps.
Stump Grinding A machine called a stump grinder can be used to grind the stump and surface roots to around 250mm below ground level and is used in most applications.
Excavation This is used where all traces of the stump and roots system need to be removed, such as for removing the stump for a new building, or where multiple stumps have to be removed.
Gillespie Tree Care is fully insured to carry out these works and our professional team is fully qualified in using these techniques.
Your trees health is important to us. That's why all of our stump removals are carried out with the utmost care, using industry best practice.
